NS2024-01 – Chief Operating Officer 

Nordic Shelter is growing, and we need someone to be the right hand to the CEO, ensuring day-to-day business is overseen and managed. The COO will lead our team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective. The ideal candidate has extensive experience within our industry, preferably having worked their way up to an executive role. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels.
  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met.
  • Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations and take appropriate action when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Norwegian and English.
  • Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
  • A good track record of successful financial management.
  • Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues.
  • Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.

 

The COO will have a key role in our growth, reporting directly to the CEO. This position is based in Oslo.

 

NS2024-02 – Sales Manager Norway

Our Sales Manager is retiring, and we are growing. For the lead sales role in Norway, we are actively seeking a Sales Manager to support and develop the Norwegian defence market.
This role will specifically focus on serving military end customers and collaborating with defense companies requiring our specialized products and services. The ideal candidate has extensive experience within our industry, and a brings a broad network both on the customer side and the industry side.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Spearhead lead generation efforts within the Norwegian market to identify and cultivate potential clients and opportunities.
  • Networking: Establish and nurture a robust and professional business network in Norway and the Nordic region, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Engagement: Actively participate in relevant trade shows, industry events, and networking forums to represent our brand and explore new avenues for growth.
  • Opportunity Tracking: Maintain a vigilant eye on emerging opportunities within the designated area of responsibility, ensuring that potential leads are effectively pursued.
  • Bid management and execution of sales processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Norwegian and English.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven experience in B2B and Government sales, demonstrating a track record of successful client acquisition and relationship management.
  • Military Background: Education and hands-on experience within the armed forces, providing a deep understanding of the defense sector’s intricacies.
  • Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in a technical or financial field, providing the necessary knowledge base for this role.
  • Ability to work at fast pace and meet demanding deadlines.

The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in our team, reporting directly to the Director of Business Development. This position is based in Oslo.

 

NS2024-03 – Project Manager

To support our expanding portfolio of projects, we are actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to handle complex projects to demanding international defence customers. The ideal candidate has extensive experience within our industry and understands the dynamics in defence projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Assume responsibility for the effective management and leadership of selected projects, ensuring successful execution from inception to completion.
  • Client Relationship Development: Cultivate and nurture robust customer relationships within the project portfolio, driving client satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Norwegian/Swedish and English.
  • Project Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing projects, particularly within the realms of B2B and Government projects.
  • ISO9001 Proficiency: Profound familiarity with project management practices compliant with ISO9001 standards, ensuring quality and precision in project execution.
  • Self motivated, creative thinker, able to work indepandently with sustainable self motivation is essential.
  • Able to solve problems and communicate solutions with both peers and senior management.

NS2024-04 – Systems Engineer

To support our expanding portfolio of opportunities and projects, we are actively seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team in Norway. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with advanced mobile integrated systems.

  • Systems Engineering for containerized integrated systems.
  • Support product development from idea to design and realization for a systems perspective.
  • Sales support and engineering.
  • Technical project management for selected projects.
  • Systems Optimization to enhance efficiency and reliability for both new and existing systems.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and safety standards, proactively mitigating risks across all construction activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Norwegian and English.
  • Higher education in systems engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Systems Thinking and an analytical approach to optimize workflows and implement innovative solutions for product and process enhancement.
  • Proved track record of communication and collaboration in complex organizations spread on multiple sites.
  • Experience in using design software (preferably Autodesk Inventor and Vault systems) and ERP Systems.
  • Working awareness of international ISO and STANAG standards is highly beneficial.

  • Creation of 3D CAD models of containerized integrated systems.
  • Preparation of material and component specification for production.
  • Participation in outsourcing processes.
  • Monitoring and supporting the production process.
  • Prepare project final documentation.
  • Fulfill production module in the ERP system.
  • Sales support activities.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Norwegian and English.
  • Higher education in mechanical engineering.
  • Previous experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in using design software (preferably Autodesk Inventor and Vault systems).
  • Able to create and offer optimal technological and technical solutions according to the client’s initial tasks.
  • Experience in using ERP systems.
  • Experience in product development would be an advantage.

NS2024-04 – Quality Manager Estonia

To strengthen our quality management team, we are looking for a Quality Manager in our Tallin site to continue develop, implement and manage our quality management system and day to day quality management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure products meet regulatory standards and customer expectations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Quality Testing: Conduct thorough testing and inspection of products at various stages of production to detect defects and ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality standards and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Estonian and English.
  • Higher education in engineering.
  • Quality Management: Strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies, with experience in implementing quality control systems.
  • In depth knowledge of ISO, particularly 9001 and 14001is essential, working knowledge AQAP 2110 and others would be a huge benefit.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficient in manufacturing principles and processes, with a focus on quality control methods and techniques.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and identify trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate quality objectives.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot issues, resolve conflicts, and implement effective solutions to quality-related challenges.

The Quality Manager will report to the Director of Engineering and Production as an integrated member of the Estonian team with workplace preferably in Tallinn, Estonia.
